SOFTWARE
Beyerdynamic M-02
Kind of a rare mic. Hadn't heard of it when I saw it, and honestly, since buying it, haven't seen another one. Heck, I can barely find them on the interwebs. I found it somewhere for like $20, and thought eh, it's a Beyer, why not. Supposed to be a 58 replacement, but is a very dark, thick sounding mic, nothing like a 58. It needs a lot of work to be used on any vocals. But I have used it as a spot mic on drums/toms, where some people use a 421, and it actually works pretty good there, if you want that thicker, meatier tone. I even have tossed it in front of a kick in a live sound pinch. $20, hard to go wrong.
