SOFTWARE
EV RE-20 (2)
Another classic mic, with a rare quality in anything described as classic; the new ones are just as good as the ones made 30 years ago. You can't always say that with classic gear. Although it is likely most renowned as a broadcast mic, it has been a staple in studios for the last 40 or so years on a wide variety of sources. I use it mostly on kick drum and bass cabs, although I have put this in front of about everything with great results, including and more often than people'd think, vocals.
